Death Registration Booking
Important information - please read carefully!
Appointments should only be booked once you have received an initial email or call from the registration service confirming they have received the medical certificate from the certifying doctor or hospital or you have been informed by the hospital or doctor that this has been done.

Any death which takes place in Scotland should be registered within 8 days (only exception to this is where a post mortem has been required)
We cannot register a death which did not take place in Scotland.
Please ensure you press submit and can view the booking confirmation screen at the end of the booking process.
You are booking a telephone appointment with a registrar who will call you to take the information required on the day/time you book.
You will not attend the Registration Office in person for the appouintment.
Medical staff should email a Medical Certificate Cause of Death (MCCD) to argyllandbute_registrars@custhelp.com (please note this email is for the purpose of medical staff submitting the MCCD only and not for communications with the registration service).
